A Limerick A Day to Keep You On Your Way©

There once was a place called the Gates of Biden.

Inside all manner of evil was hidin’.

They furiously plotted,

Plans were jotted,

And the ALL KNOWING WHO smile did widen.

 

Psalm 2  The Message

2: 1-6 Why the big noise, nations?

Why the mean plots, peoples?

Earth-leaders push for position,

Demagogues and delegates meet for summit talks,

The God-deniers, the Messiah-defiers:

“Let’s get free of God!

Cast loose from Messiah!”

Heaven-throned God breaks out laughing.

At first he’s amused at their presumption;

Then he gets good and angry.

Furiously, he shuts them up:

“Don’t you know there’s a King in Zion? A coronation banquet

Is spread for him on the holy summit.”

 

It appears the world is being run by mad and evil elite rulers.  Their agenda is to get more and more control.  They believe they can rule the world and the masses.  Don’t they know that one day they will be subject to their hypocrisy and suffer the consequences?  Just because they take the ALL KNOWING WHO out of their plans does not mean they ultimately rule.  Trust me, their day is coming.  Evil never wins in the end.

They hold their summits and plot their plans all the while believing they are in control.  God laughs.  He laughs until he becomes angry at the presumptions of mere men and women.

And then HE shuts them up. 

I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t want to get God so angry He shuts you up. 

Pray this prayer with me.

Dear Jesus,

Thank You for loving the world so much You came to save us. As You watch from heaven the foolishness of men and women carrying out evil plans of control we pray for courage to rise up against it.  Forgive our fear that has caused our complacency and now we reap the results.  Raise us up as fierce and bold men and women to fight back evil with Your holiness and righteousness in our hearts and tongues.  Lord fight with us. Let us hear the sound of Your laughter against evil and may it be the weapon that reminds us evil never wins.  In Jesus’ Name.  Amen.

A Limerick A Day to Keep You On Your Way©

 There once was a truth, created life was made,

By the Creator alone, and not man-made.

Giver of life and death,

By power of HIS Breath.

Not given by a case of Roe verses Wade.

Why have we come to a place in society that a court can decide the fate of a life that has not committed any crime but can be sentenced to death?

This is a raw subject to write about on Mother’s Day.  Yet, is it not fitting for the countless women who are mothers who know the blessing of having children?  Or the women who now know the pain of ending a life that would have been a child.

The ideology that is trying to make us believe killing a lump of cells is not murdering what would clearly be a child is straight from hell.  And the same lying spirit will tell us hell doesn’t exist.  Or that the Bible is written by men and has no power.  I challenge you to look at why we have the laws we have.  Why is it murder to take someone’s life?  Why is adultery wrong? Stealing? Lying?  How do you know these are wrong?   God gives every person a conscience.  He also gives free will.  If you sin long enough you lose your conscience, but not the consequences. 

The enemy of our life does everything he can to make us lose our conscience. He is telling us a lie now that says women will lose their right to their bodies under the guise of the right to health care.  Real health care would do everything it could to protect life, not kill it.

So on this mother’s day,  let us reflect on the Creator who gave us life through our mothers.  With every breath we take let us be reminded that without the Power of His Breath we all would perish.  Truly He is the Creator of Life.

 

Psalm 139:13-16

The Message

^13-16 Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
    you formed me in my mother’s womb.
I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking!
    Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
    I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
    you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
    how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
    all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
    before I’d even lived one day.

Dear Jesus,

Thank You for life.  Your goodness and mercy cover us.  If we have offeneded You in any way as we live the life You gave us we say forgive us.  Cause our minds and hearts to tune in to what You say and not the world. In Jesus’ Name.  Amen.

Truth Thinking©

A Limerick A Day to Keep You On Your Way©

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life.”

What truth do you need to hear to not be in strife?

Come to the Father,

And go no farther.

Truly, there is no other way to live this life.

 John 14:6  (AKJV)   Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Truth Thinking

 How do you know what truth is today? 

It feels out of place to put a date on these monthly blogs because often things are written years prior that make no sense until they happen much later. There are current-day happenings we could not have imagined one generation earlier but the God of the Universe saw it all coming.

The book of Romans made it clear! Men would cast off natural affections for women and instead crave men with men and the same, women with women. The created beings of God would worship creation,  and not the Creator: God who made us all. Who would have thought one day the challenge to define what a man or woman is would be so difficult you would need a Biology degree?  God said those that would not retain God in their knowledge He would give them up to a *reprobate mind to do the things which are not convenient.  Have you met anyone with that kind of mind? They will be filled with unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, deceit, and covenant breakers.  And that’s the short version of what God said.

Truth is not convenient for the moment.  It must be sought out.  Truth is not based on your feeling and yet that is the way most of us live and make our decisions. There has to be a solid foundation of truth that never changes, never waivers, and is never defeated. Truth must win the day, every day.

We are in an intense battle for truth today.  Lies are everywhere you turn.  That is the enemy’s plan.  He doesn’t want you to know the truth so he can manipulate and control you.  He loves seeing people in strife. The conflict becomes a great distraction from what is going on.  His other great weapon is FEAR.  Fear of lack, fear of sickness, fear of death, fear you will be an outcast for challenging the lies.  The truth is, the enemy is afraid.  His days are numbered and he knows it.

If the enemy can keep us in the dark we stop searching for truth. He wins, and we let him win.  We get lazy, soft, and cave in because it is easier than fighting for truth.  Truth is the power that makes men free.  Truth must be mastered by wisdom. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”   We do not have time to be fooled by the thief who is pretending he is trying to make our lives better, yet all the time stealing from us.  His main objective is to steal, kill and destroy.  And make no mistake, he is very skilled at his job.  Jesus said, “I have come to give you life, and more abundantly.”  Jesus is the way, the only way.  Decide today to follow Him and live.

Dear Jesus,

Thank You for being Truth.  I need truth in this world full of lies. Please give me great discernment from every voice and distraction that is always around me. Lead me in the way to the life of the Father.  I seek abundant life. Today I decide to follow You. In Jesus’ Name.  Amen.

Persistent March©

A Limerick A Day to Keep You On Your Way©

Begin again to do all you can.

Forget what looked like a failed plan.

Failure is success.

A test, just to bless.

So March on forward, persist on man.

 

Persistent March

 If we think February is long and dreary even though it is the shortest month, March feels never-ending.  But the promise of spring helps us endure.  We sense it in the smell of the air. It’s our signal, new life is coming. The ground may still be hard but the death of winter is part of the cycle of new life. Trees, grass, and flowers die off only to emerge again.  Birds are heard chirping again.  Signs of life are persistently returning.  They didn’t fail in their “dying”.  No, they withstood the test of winter to bring us new life.

Jesus also persisted.  His heavenly Father gave him a test of great sacrifice and price, persisting unto death. The world thought Jesus failed the test of perseverance as He died nailed to the cross. That perseverance paid the debt of sin, shame, poverty, and sickness.  God knows the heart of man is full of evil intent.  Man can never save himself from it. Only a Holy and Righteous God can redeem His creation.   Jesus persevered unto the death that makes us free from eternal damnation.  The death that gives us freedom to live. The death that was not failure but success.

Let us look at  March as the month we persist in each year to view what may look like failures but are just test to keep going forward. Good will always overcome evil.  New life is coming.  Persist.  March on.

 

Pray this prayer with me.

Dear Jesus,

Thank You Jesus for persisting unto death.  We are in need every day to overcome the evil that persists in all of mankind. Until the day evil is done, Lord, grant us great courage and persistence to complete our assignments.  Grant us wisdom, counsel, and strength to perform mighty deeds in the ordinary battles of life as well as the great battles.  All honor and glory are Yours, forever and ever.  Amen.

Imaginations Against True Imagination©

A Limerick A Day to Keep You On Your Way©

There is a war on for every thought.

There is a way this war is to be fought.

The weapons bold,

Heaven’s foothold.

Imaginations cast down, strongholds caught.

 

WAR

A tyrannical war.   A civil war.   An atomic war.   A cold war.  A nuclear war.  A virtual war.   A chemical war.    A tech war.   A big pharma war.    An identity war.  A national war.   A bioweapon war.  A spiritual war.

We are in a war.  A war for our souls.

I have watched TURN, Washington’s Spies several times. It was a series on Netflix.  After some history exploration, it is clear this series has taken several liberties with actual facts . Nonetheless, it has been a very moving series for me. I was moved to tears as I felt the pain of the sacrifices men, women and children of that time gave to give us such a free America. They lost loved ones, land, houses, money, body parts or their own lives. Families were divided from loyalty to England’s King or freedom from tyranny. The display of bravery, courage, discipline,  and loyal patriotism makes my flag even more valuable.  The flag of Freedom.

Do we face such things today?  I believe we do. I fear we have lived so long with freedom we forget what the cost was for that freedom.  I believe God is using the circumstances of today to bring us back to truth.

A heavenly war was fought as well. A war against man’s sin.

This war, was for eternal freedom, and would be for all men.  It was a war against evil and its hold on mankind.  It was against the prince of this world, satan himself. The price was high and also required blood and sacrifice.  God knew man could not win this war without heaven’s help.  That is why HE had to send His only son.  Only Jesus, the sinless One could win.  His victory granted us the authority to use the same weapons as Jesus did. He never waivered in loyalty.

Jesus knew the scriptures. We must as well.  It is our first line of defense when we pray to fight against the enemy’s stronghold as he tries desperately to overtake our minds.   Scripture tells us in 2nd Corinthians 10:4-6 King James Version (KJV):

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

Your most powerful weapon against evil is the word of God.   We must know what the word says to fight back.  Has the enemy stolen your mind?  Your children?  Your spouse?  Your goods? Your country?

 

Pray this prayer with me.

Dear Jesus,

I come to you now asking You to forgive me of all my wrongdoings, known and unknown.  Cover my sin by Your precious blood shed on the Cross of Calvary.  I repent.  Please come live inside my heart and be the Lord of my life today and every day.  Keep me from the evil one.  Teach me to war in the spirit against the enemy’s tactics. You never lose a battle against the enemy. In Jesus Name, Amen.
